Answer: One Sunday, while going to her sister’s house, the lady heard branches cracking behind her. When she looked back, she saw the bear following her. She scolded him and hit him lightly with her umbrella. The bear looked sad, turned around, and went back home quietly.
Question 6: Why was the bear looking sorry for himself in the evening? Why did the cook get angry with her mistress?
Answer: The bear looked sorry in the evening because he had been tied up all day and was waiting for the lady to come back.
The cook got angry with the mistress because the bear had been sitting quietly all day and had not done anything wrong. The cook felt that the bear was scolded unfairly.
