The BSEB or Bihar School Examination Board has recently changed the entire syllabus and books for class 8th students. If you are also a class 8 student from BSEB, then it is very important for you to know what the new syllabus of your class is. And which books you will be studying this year.
New Books
Earlier, the books for class 8 were published by BSTBPC (Bihar State Text Book Publishing Corporation). But now (from the academic year 2025), these books will be replaced by the Hindi Medium NCERT Books.
Here is the list of the subjects and their books (NCERT books):
- हिंदी – वसंत भाग 3
- अंग्रेज़ी – Honeydew
- गणित – गणित कक्षा 8
- विज्ञान – विज्ञान कक्षा 8
- सामाजिक विज्ञान
- इतिहास – हमारे अतीत – 3
- भूगोल – संसाधन और विकास
- नागरिकशास्त्र – सामाजिक और राजनीतिक जीवन – 3
- संस्कृत / उर्दू / कंप्यूटर – स्कूल के अनुसार
Note: These new books will be provided free of cost by the schools.
New Syllabus
The new syllabus of Bihar Board Class 8 will be applicable from the session of 2025-26. As per this change, students will be studying from the Hindi medium books of NCERT. It means that your syllabus will now be the same as the CBSE and other State Board students. This change will ensure to improve the quality of education and help students learn better.
