Maya believes that the Sunday visitor is Mr. Nath’s partner in crime who comes to give him his share of money from their criminal activities.

WRITING
1. Who do you think Mr Nath is? Write a paragraph or two about him.
Ans: I think Mr. Nath is a simple man who has faced many difficulties in his life. He seems to be a quiet person who keeps to himself and doesn’t talk much to others. He eats simple food like chapatis, dal, and vegetables, and doesn’t spend much money except for giving tips to Ramesh. The scars on his face might be from an accident or illness he had in the past, not from any criminal activity.
Mr. Nath appears to be lonely with very few friends. He only has one visitor who comes every Sunday to have lunch with him. This might be a family member or an old friend who cares about him. He could be working from home or might have retired early due to health problems. I believe he is a good person who likes to live a private life, and not a criminal as Maya suspects.
2. What else do you think Nishad and Maya will find out about him? How? Will they ever be friends? Think about these questions and write a paragraph or two to continue the story.
Ans: I think Nishad and Maya will discover that Mr. Nath is actually a writer or an artist who works from home. They might find this out when they finally gather courage to talk to him directly or perhaps when they help him during an emergency like when he falls sick. They might learn that the Sunday visitor is his brother who takes care of him and brings him supplies for the week.
As time passes, Nishad and Maya might start helping Mr. Nath with small errands like buying groceries or medicines. Nishad, who already feels sorry for Mr. Nath, will probably become friends with him first. He might start visiting Mr. Nath regularly to check on him and listen to interesting stories from his past. Maya will be surprised when she learns the truth and will feel bad about suspecting him. Eventually, all three could become good friends, with the children bringing joy into Mr. Nath’s lonely life and Mr. Nath sharing his wisdom and experiences with them. Their friendship might even help Mr. Nath’s health improve as he starts enjoying life more.
3. Conducting a Survey
